Cranleigh Show was good as usual. Excellent display by the
http://www.thedevilshorsemen.com/default.htm with Imperitus, the horse from the Lloyds TSB adverts. The falconer who displays there every year had one of his falcons break a five year long tradition of pissing off when flown. This year he actually came back. Also sheepdog displays and other things. Met some friends from the Surrey Union Hunt who were up there with their hounds and almost brought home a collie puppy... Instead came home with a leather Aussie bush hat and a very red back and shoulders. Got to talk cattle and dogs with people, which is something I don't get to do very often any more.
Today the redness has gone down, though my shoulders are still a bit sore.
My wallet is not quite so achey. Or at least, it wouldn't be if I hadn't gone and bought some leather armour on ebay this morning. Damn.
